Job Description:

The scope of services supported includes but are not limited to:
• Support day-to-day operations of the storage environment and develop business processes to ensure compliance to defined SLA/ OLA, firm’s guidelines and regional regulations
• Collect and evaluate service delivery metrics
• Provide support for all Unix services located in region (even if used by other regions)
• Support incidents that affect the availability of Unix services, track issue management and resolution
• Change Management, including weekend change coordination and prioritization
• Problem Management , including continuous improvement through formal root cause analysis
• Project Management, including formal scope, proposal, milestone and deliverable management.
• Risk and audit Management


• Multi-year (10+) Progressive experience in supporting enterprise Unix/Linux production environments.
• General understanding of Linux internals (system calls, file systems, processes, etc.)
• General understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols (HTTP, FTP, NFS, etc.)
• Comfortable dealing with users with varying levels of IT knowledge
• Knowledge of container operations and understanding of how to fix/identify problems
• Experience with building open-source software from source code
• Experience using the typical Linux toolbox of open source software and automated configuration management tools e.g. Satellite ,Ansible, Puppet
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical executives and managers
