Job Description

Director – B2B Technical Integration Architect will report directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and is responsible for the Company’s b2b technical integration. This person works directly with the various business and technical stakeholders to lead and direct all b2b integration technical resources, as well as partner with 3rd party resources as necessary, other internal staff and team members who, as a group, are responsible for:

  • Ownership of the overall b2b Technology integration Architecture.
  • Leading, architecting, designing and/or facilitating the technical integration development.
  • Working as part of a focused development effort with communications across groups, both with immediate team members and other resources within the Company.


Main responsibilities are defined as:

Establishes the overall objectives and initiatives of an b2b technical integration team. Develops ideas for new integration enhancements and oversees the creation and improvement of technical integration architecture. Provides technical integration expertise to engineering and other function where needed. Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and at least 10 years of direct experience in the field. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience, judgment and mentoring from more experienced executives to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide, but guided, degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

This role will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for technical integration development initiatives from estimating scope through implementation.
  • Lead, work with and manage team responsible for overall integration Platform and System architecture, where you have complete accountability for its success. Actively participate as a “player-coach” in development, contributing code as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute development projects to support product vision and roadmap.
  • Maintain and own the overall integration Development schedule.
  • Follow, mentor and help ensure everything we build follows our Product Development Process and any guidelines for reuse, productization, operations, metrics, etc.
  • Communicate progress, status, issues, and resolutions to various business units, management and Executive Leadership via verbal and written status reports.
  • Coordinate all b2b integration planning including project scoping and sizing, resource planning and allocation, infrastructure planning, and budgeting, to deliver against roadmap and product deadlines.
  • Lead and/or coordinate resources in various phases of software development life cycle, including specifications, development, QA, delivery, and bug fixes.
  • Work with team to ensure staging and production environment and infrastructure is properly architected and is suitable.
  • Work directly with external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), when necessary, to help ensure platforms and projects are successful
  • Hold departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff.
  • Participate in, lead and help execute on the overall Technology
    Integration Strategy, Plan and Roadmap – doing so in collaboration, coordination, and communication with rest of the company leadership team and appropriated resources.
  • Serve as technical integration lead and representative in customer and partner meetings.

    • 10+ years of hands on technical integration experience
    • 5+ years of experience in leading and managing team of integration developers that are geographically spread.
    • 5+ years of working experience in an Agile development methodology.
    • Expertise in large, multi-phased and multiple development projects concurrently.
    • Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as those that run on Amazon’s Web Service or Microsoft Azure.
    • Experience using project management (Basecamp, Asana, etc.), issue tracking (Jira, Pivotal Tracker, etc.), and documentation (Confluence, etc.). software.
    • Expertise in deploying large integration-driven mobile applications.
    • 3+ years familiarity of metrics (Google Analytics/Firebase, etc.) and production monitoring (New Relic, etc.) standards/guidelines within all work product.
    • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with both business and technical people at all levels of the company including senior management.
    • Proven ability to effectively document.
    • Expertise in contributing to budgets and managing project plans effectively.
    • Vendor management expertise a plus.

    • Healthcare industry experience a plus, with employment at WebMD, Everyday Health, or other types of large scale mobile applications preferred.
